Pre Christmas visit to Selby

As I write this now the big day is getting nearer my little one is getting exited & its time to get into the spirit of things

We are nearing the end of another year and it's a time for reflection

Looking back to what has been another great year for my photography I have done more wedding's & event's getting involved in interiors for business is another genre I am getting more involved with. All this together with my landscape photography I feel I am starting to get somewhere

Anyway the other week I had a visit to my hometown of Selby for a few day's, part business of a pre wedding meeting with a local family & to visit my son

As many of you know I am not one to turn down a photo opportunity so in between all that was going on I decided to get some images of the town in all it's Christmas splendour n wow was I impressed with the town all lit up

A magnificent display of the tree & lights ,the abbey,& side street's ,I decided to take advantage of this combination and use the rush hour traffic and do a series of long exposure images

I don't often get to do this type of photography very often as I do most of my work in my village of Robin Hood's Bay on the Yorkshire Coast where we don't quite have the volume of

I can safely say I really enjoyed doing this in between a few beers & chatting to people especially the two guys stood out in the cold for a charity cause

Roll on my next visit in the mean time I hope my dream of being someone's wedding photographer in the shadow of the abbey come's true

A Merry Christmas And Happy New Year To Everyone
